WORD OF WARNING: NEVER ORDER A CAKE FROM COMMUNITY BAKERY!!!! Don't get me wrong, the cakes come out beautiful...well decorated and all but they can never get the order right. On too many occasions did my family pay extra for filled cakes and got nothing but well...cake. And sometimes the cakes are sweet enough to give you a sugar rush that will make your head feel awful. Their coffee is okay, its great when its early and you just need a kick of caffeine but hey its no StarBucks. The cheese cakes are amazing. I love getting cheese cake slices in the River market, but yes they are high in price. |

I am a frequent visitor to Community Bakery on Sunday after church - I just love their Chicken Salad Sandwich! Yes, it may be a little more expensive than a fastfood hamburger but at least it is fresh and wholesome. Also their desserts are WONDERFUL! My favorite is the tiramisu. Where can you get that type of dessert for only $2.50? And it's a pretty good sized portion! I give Community Bakery 2 thumbs up! |

The pastries, soups and sandwiches in this establishment are second to none. The brownies and cookies are to die for. The croissants are always fresh and filled with tasty fillings (almond, cream cheese and strawberry to name a few.) The cakes and "hot cross buns" look just like the ones from your 1st grade reader. You know how they made your mouth water then. The soup's always interesting and it changes everyday. Think "lime totilleni, Southwest vegetable, tomato basil. Where do they find all the recipes? Community Bakery has it going on. |
