As you enter into Cafe Luna you walk into another world and there you will stay until your meal is over and you force yourself out the door back into reality. We had a celestial dining experience. We began with a Portobello Mushroom appetizer that was beyond exquisite. Extremely simple ingredients yet every flavor came alive with each bite. We moved onto a wonderful creamy broccoli soup, I could have made a whole meal of it alone. The next course was an Endive/raddiccio salad with Gorgonzola Cheese and Walnuts in a delightful Balsamic dressing.
Now to the main course, I had a Lamb Osso Bucco. The lamb melted in my mouth and combined with baby red herb roasted potatoes, onions and carrots in the au jus, every bite was better than the last. My husband had Pistachio crusted Halibut with their drunken pasta; it was to die for.
Our service, by Carrie, was great and watching the interaction by the whole staff was very entertaining. Then we met the Chef. She is 20 years old and a graduate of the Ca. Culinary Academy. My jaw almost hit the table. This chef will go far. She already exceeds many very well known and experienced Chefs. Enter into the Cafe Luna World and you will not be disappointed. |
