The ambiance and cuisine are strictly Turkish in this husband-and-wife owned restaurant. Lamb and beef entrees abound on the menu, which features dishes ranging from delicate to spicy-hot.

I ate here on a weeknight this past summer. The place was quiet (almost too quiet), the decor was enjoyable, and the food was tasty and well prepared. My entree was a lamb dish prepared with eggplant and yogurt -- the meat was tender and the different components blended nicely. We had good service, but the man who served us was not very communicative -- he just appeared to take our orders and deliver our food. |

I read online that this restaurant was voted one of the best in Capitol Hill and I must disagree. We ate down the street and the food was much better, the wait staff more attentive, and they had lower prices. In fact, I won't be visiting Anatolia again. |
