The "Spoon" is a Bloomington landmark. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at very reasonable prices. Homemade desserts are available until they sell out. The spoon has been open more than 25 years, and roasts its own coffee beans. Specialty coffee drinks and tea are available in wide variety.

You gotta like the ambiance. Still, I think it would be nice if they'd TRY to be a little more hygienic. I've had waitresses go from picking up dirty dishes to refilling your coffee and assembling plates of food (shudder). But I do LIKE the food, nonetheless, and my parents love it when they come to visit--this is always a must-stop place for breakfast. Never been here for dinner. The staff can be downright unhelpful and negligent, but it's kind of part of the gig. |

Runcible Spoon is a great place. When I want to relax I go their and take some coffee. When you are there you will find someone to talk with and you will enjoy that. |
