If you are looking for fancy dining, this is not the place. But, if you are looking for great food, fast service and affordable prices, this is the place for you!
It is a tiny little cafe in downtown Gulfport, MS, usually packed with locals. You will be dining with everyone from bank presidents to construction workers. The regular crowd comes for the great plate lunches offered everyday and you will most likely have to wait for a table (which I have gladly done in the past)if you arrive between noon and one.
Once you get seated, the service is no frills...fast and to the point, but generally friendly. As far as the food, it is all good, but the traditional Gulf Coast dishes are the best. Po boys, red beans and rice with sausage and shrimp spaghetti are MUST have items! And the garlic bread just melts in your mouth. |
