This is a restaurant my family eats at every time we go to Port Aransas for vacation. Incredible fried fish and chicken, chicken fried steak and pies (not to mention cobblers). The portions are huge and the staff is friendly and prompt--lots of locals and very few tourists. |

I've been told go try their turkey and dressing on Thurs. It's always gone by the time I get there, but I had the best chicken fried steak I have ever had (I have had a thousand, I bet, in my life time), green beens (yummy),sliced sweet yams (firm, sweet not overly syrupy). Cornbread muffin and a fresh homemade roll that melt in your mouth. |
