The ribs and sausage are wonderful. Potato Salad is homemade, unique and wonderful. Combine it with red beans and those tremendous hot rolls and you're in heaven. |

As a kid growing up in FortWorth in the late 50' and early 60's my favorite memories are going to Underwoods BBQ. As an adult I used to stop in Waco and eat there until I was sorely disappointed to find it closed. My mouth waters everytime I think of Underwoods. |

When I was growing up in the 1960's the only place we ever ate out was Underwoods. There was never any discussion as to where we were going out to eat.I am 46 yrs old now and will often drive 8 hours round trip from Odessa to Brownwood just for a plate of Underwoods. I often joke about being able to remember the day I graduated from a "Little Wrangler" to an adult plate. |

I just took a weekend job in houston for the weekend just so i could drive back through and get the BBQ.I live in Lubbock and we used to have one when I was a kid i loved it then and now it takes me back. Its still the same. |

There's a lot of good BBQ in Texas but nobody puts the whole thing together as well as Underwoods. The meats are fantastic and the sides are incredible. What? I can get as many sides as I want and they're all included in the low price of the entree? And that amazing cobbler? That's included, too? I guess I'll have to pay for my drink, though? No? It's all included for $8 or whatever? No better deal anywhere in Texas. And of course, you don't want to eat BBQ from anywhere else.

I grew up in Brownwood and we always ate at Underwoods! I live in Georgia now and have yet to find any BBQ as good as Underwoods! Cobbler, rolls, potato salad and those ribs,chicken and steak, I MISS IT ALL! I can remember Leonard or one of the waitreeses bringing out those fresh rolls!
