The first Atchafalaya River Cafe on Fondren and Westheimer was a huge success and it was a memorable spot to visit day after day. Everyone loved it and it was even in Time Magazine. What happened to that restaurant?
Through reproduction and then passing to other hands it's impossible to tell that it's the same concept at all.
If given a choice, I prefer Landry's Seafood that used Atchafalaya River Cafe as their proto-type by buying the first location for this restaurant and adding their name and food. It's at Fondren and Westheimer right where the first Atchafalaya River Cafe opened in the 80's. |
