The last thing I expected to find driving on this fantastic stretch of road miles from anywhere was a beatifully designed building, sitting just off the road, surrounded by native plants and gardens serving interesting lunch items and very good coffee, all with a commanding view of the surrounding cliffs and desert valleys. |

With a million dollar view and great coffee.
If only just to admire the view and the architecture, this is a "must stop" for passersby.
Friendly staff, this is a good place to pump the owners for local info.
Try the rasberry lemonade! |

After being trapped without decent coffee in Southern Utah all morning, I came across the signs for Kiva Koffeehouse and pulled in immediately. I didn't expect much, but I was bowled over -- the beautiful view, friendly people, and very good coffee made my morning. |

We met the gentleman who built the Kiva Koffeehouse a few years back during the first summer of operation. He has passed, but the vision that went into the design and construction of the Kiva Koffeehouse lives on and the family continues operations. Travellers through this area are advised to take the opportunity to visit when the Kiva Koffeehouse is open. Enjoy. |

My husband and I found this unusual, unexpected gem while coming home from a family reunion. We think experiencing the Kiva Koffeehouse is definitely worth the drive.
The location, view and ambiance are all incredible. There's a feeling of tranquility at this place that is priceless.
We didn't have time for much food, but want to return at our leisure. Wish they'd build a resort around the coffee house with the same feel - we'd hold our family reunions there. |

This family owned and run marvel is like an oasis on a hot desert day.
Coffee and espresso are a delight served cold or hot with unique caramel qualities. Service couldn't be friendlier.
Each lunch dish is a unique and satisfying creation of the best local ingredients. Try the blue corn bread!
The decor is a perfect blend of rustic and modern with tasteful reproductions of ancient rock art. It's a perfect backdrop for the panoramic canyon views visible from every table.
Go there! |
