The Mekong Cafe is my favorite restaurant, and I've tried quite a few. It doesn't look like much from the outside--it probably used to be an A&W or something. The ambiance is mediocre, too. However, the food is fantastic, and the portions are bigger than I've had at most Thai restaurants. They start you with egg-drop soup and chips (which I like to spice up with the hot chili sauce at the table). The main courses can come in mild, hot, or "authentic". We like to order several dishes and eat 'family style'. |
