It is the perfect place to hang out after school or sing a little Kerioke on Friday. The employeees have all become my freinds, very nice people. |

Doppio had a karaoke night a couple Fridays ago for all ages. I was there for the inaugural event. It went so well, they are stating to do it every Friday from 6-10 pm for only $3 cover. Who can beat the best coffee around & singing my favorite tunes?! |

This cafe on Sunset Boulevard has been a happy substitute for the Domino's that once stood in its place. It is still hurting for business, though. I can find nothing to account for that other than simply not getting the word out. It is a fun place to get a cup and relax, and the proprietors always make you feel welcome.
Most important to any cafe, of course, is the coffee. And it is excellent. As you might expect with a name like Doppio, double shots come standard.
Other niceties are a couple of big overstuffed sofas and a tournament-grade chess set. For hardcore geeks like me, there is the high-speed Internet access available on four Windows-based workstations. Then there is the lending library, which I have not taken advantage of personally, but features a couple of big bookcases stuffed with mass-market paperbacks.
In short, this is the closest you're going to get to a Seattle-like cafe in Renton. Check them out, and bring your friends; there's plenty of room! |

I just wanted to say that from what I can see on the street, you guys did a great job redecorating the place. I used to work there when it was Domino's, and now it looks SOOO different!
[Emily, I happened to be with one of the proprietors when your submission came up for review. So the message has been delivered! --Ed.] |
